NEW! CHRISTMAS GIFT
CARDS
Need a Christmas gift for the person
who has everything? Or want to give a gift that keeps on giving? Our new gift
cards are the answer!
This year send gift cards to your
friends notifying them that you are giving a Christmas dinner in their honor
through our Outreach Ministries or Father Pat’s Lunch Kitchen. Each gift card
costs $10, and the money raised will supplement the holiday baskets we deliver
to needy families in our community or for the special meals we’ll be serving in
the Lunch Kitchen.
Gift cards are also available for contributions
to the Columbarium Fund, Outreach Ministries or the Building Fund
in honor of friends on your Christmas
list.
The gift cards, which come with envelopes suitable
for mailing, are printed in Christmas colors and can be purchased from the
church office.
Spread the spirit of Christmas with
gift cards from PBOC.

Both widows in today’s
readings gave all they had to the work of the Lord, one using all her remaining
food to feed Elijah and the other offering her two copper coins to the temple
treasure. Faithful stewards give all
that is asked and trust the Lord to be faithful to His promises.

CY2009
BISHOPS STEWARDSHIP APPEAL (BSA) UPDATE
This will be the last
update regarding the CY2009 BSA results for PBOC. The annual campaign will end in the month of
December. The participation level within the parish membership has been fair to
date with 237 of our families participating.
Our goal of $37,709.90
has been achieved by contribution and pledges of $40,298.00 YTD. It must be noted that in excess of $2,000.00
in pledge payments remain outstanding and hopefully, these will be completed
this month.
Likewise, all funds
accomplished in excess of the annual parish goal have been shared equally with
our parish. This will continue this year
so continue to make your monthly contribution with the red/white envelopes or
just place a contribution in the offering, which is designated for BSA 2009.
Please do consider
utilizing the envelopes included with your November and December offerings to
support this most worthy effort and, hopefully, drive PBOC over its annual
goal. Thank you in advance and God Bless you for all you do.
Respectfully, Mike Lenhart, Chairman 2009 BSA
2010 PLANNED GIVING ANNUAL PLEDGE
We are pleased to say that the number of
parish families that have responded with their Planned Giving Intention for
2010 has increased from 45% last year to 51% this year. We’re also gratified
that the number of Planned Givers using one of our electronic giving options
has increased from 18% to 23%. We encourage everyone who has not yet responded
- particularly those who regularly use automatic withdrawals from your bank
account or a credit card - to allow your weekly or monthly contributions to be
transferred electronically from your checking or savings account or your credit
card directly to the church account. While away or on vacation, you will have
peace of mind - knowing your offering has been received and is contributing to
the good works of Precious Blood.
