Middle School Faith Formation:
True North Youth Group: Grades 6, 7, and 8. Meets Wednesdays from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
Confirmation Preparation: Grade 7 and 8. Meets Sundays from 9:15 AM – 10:05 AM.
High School Faith Formation:
Ascendentes Youth Group: Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12. Meets Sundays from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
The reasoning behind the names of our youth groups:
True North – Christ is our direction, compass and orientation. St. Carlo Acutis is the Saint of our group.
Ascendentes – means “those who are ascending”. We are communal and becoming, not finished. St. Pier Giorgio Frassati is the Saint of our group.
Mission Statement:
Through catechesis we learn to see Scripture as a living tapestry of God’s redemptive mission, where every thread points to Christ and speaks to our lives today. Guided by the Catechism and the wisdom of the saints, we discover how the Church’s teaching illuminates our path. In prayer, we find more than routine or discipline—we enter an intimate encounter with the One who made all things. In friendship and in sharing a meal, we learn to live with those who are both similar and different. And in discovering our gifts, we find how to serve the Body of Christ.
